On Monday 24 October, BBC Scotland Investigates exposed the practices that have led to so many consumer complaints against Monster Travel / monster Rewards and SellMyTimeshare.tv.

The programme clearly show how justifiable the complaints about these businesses are.  Consumers are being lured in by exceptionally deceitful practices and broken promises – and at a cost of thousands of pounds at a time.

Here is the link to the programme – http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b080dfy2/bbc-scotland-investigates-2016-5-the-timeshare-time-bomb

And there is also an item highlighting the experience of the undercover reporter on the BBC news website – http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-37690840

It all clearly shows the devious and untrustworthy methods used to persuade consumers to part with money for the so called  ‘Monster Credits’ product – something the consumers were not interested in, but were persuaded to buy in order to relinquish timeshares.  In fact, many of the affected consumers could have been released for free or at low cost.

Interestingly, UK solicitor Stephen Boyd  of Athena Law is featured in the programme. He tells how he is helping hundreds of affected consumers with claims against Monster. So here is a question for you Mr Boyd – is it true that many of those you are assisting were in one way or another referred to you by TESS Timeshare Exit & Support Services Ltd.?  That seems highly likely as you are good friends with the owner of this business, David Cox. You are also a participant in the TESS Timeshare Legal Roadshow events.

So let’s get this straight again

TESS earned over £500,000 from Monster in a partnership agreement – paid for of course by these self-same consumers. Your friend David Cox actually encouraged timeshare owners to go to SellMyTimeashare.tv.

Now TESS and Athena Law are seeking to earn fees from claims against Monster? You really couldn’t make this stuff up.

Of course, it doesn’t stop there. It was Stephen Boyd that gave the Timeshare Consumer Association (TCA) to David Cox – and guess who David Cox sold this consumer advice site to? Yes – Mark Rowe -owner of Monster Travel, Monster Rewards  etc and SellMyTimeshare.tv.  Shame on Stephen Boyd of Athena and David Cox of TESS for not making clear their involvement in the whole mess – they are obviously more interested in earning more money out of these unfortunate consumers.
